My mother has always played music in the house and she remembers being heavily pregnant with me, feeling me kicking around to whatever she was playing (mostly Chicago - The Glory of Love and country music).
When I was born my dad picked two songs that became our songs, Axiom’s Little Ray of Sunshine and Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. He also used to sing Big Girls Don’t Cry whenever I was upset or happened to be throwing a tantrum which was often.
My older brothers fondly remember me jumping around in the baby bouncer to Peter Andre’s version of Gimme Some Kind of Sign and haunting me as I got older with Michael Jacksons Thriller. It took me a very long time to watch that music video and not be terrified of werewolf Michael.
I also remember seeing Britney Spears Baby One More Time one morning on Video Hits and spending the rest of my day singing and dancing around as if I was Brit. No shame.
I love how music has made these special memories within my family. Now it’s your turn, share with me some of your favorite music memories on social media! You can tweet me @HayleyWMusic or leave me a comment!
